PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent such pressurizing force as to disturb the orientation of smectic liquid crystals from acting on at least the display region of a liquid crystal panel at the time of sticking a polarizing plate of liquid crystal panel for which the smectic liquid crystal is adopted. SOLUTION: An adjusting jig 42 is placed and fixed onto a work table 41 and the liquid crystal panel 10 is inserted into an adjusting jig 42 and is placed on this work table 41. A pressurizing roller 43 is thereafter rotated along the top of this adjusting jig 42 by a roller shaft 43b and is progressed in an arrow direction shown in the figure. As the result, the polarizing plate 20 is stuck to an electrode substrate 11 by a roller part 43a. The height of the outside surface of the polarizing plate 20 from the work table 41 is adjusted at a value slightly larger than the thickness of the adjusting jig 42 so as to prevent such pressurizing force as to disturb the orientation of the smectic liquid crystals 14 from acting on the polarizing plate 20 from the roller part 43a. |
