<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transfer a data packet in response to a request service class and request service quality by continuing transfer of the data packet with a packet identifier to a virtual connection when a specific virtual connection is registered in a 1st cross reference table. SOLUTION: The device is provided with a data packet respectively section 11, a packet identifier read section 12, a packet container section 13, a data packet-virtual connection cross reference table storage section 14, a cross reference table update section 15, and a virtual connection monitor section 16. The packet container section 13 converts a data packet transferred from the packet identifier read section 12 into an ATM cell, and the cell is transferred to the virtual connection commanded by the cross reference storage section 14. When the virtual connection in which at least the packet identifier and either of the service class and the service quality are cross-referenced is registered in the cross reference storage section 14, the transfer of the data packet having the packet identifier to the virtual connection is continued.</p> |
