PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a deodorizing operation to be carried out without reducing a space in a storing chamber and without influencing against humidity in a storing chamber by a method wherein a part of a box provided with a cooled vegetable chamber therein is formed by a transparent plate and deodorizing photocatalyst is fixed to a surface of the transparent plate inside the refrigerator. SOLUTION: A pair of upper and lower inner boxes 15, 16 are arranged within a thermal insulating box 1, and then there is provided a storing chamber 17 cooling inner portions of these inner boxes 15, 16. A transparent plate 26 constituted by an acrylic synthetic resin plate is arranged at a central part of a front door 24 of the thermal insulating box 1. This transparent plate 26 separates the storing chamber 17 from an outside region of the refrigerator so as to shut off surrounding atmosphere from entering into the storing chamber 17. In addition, a deodorizing photocatalyst 27 is fixed to the transparent plate 26 facing against the storing chamber 17, i.e., to the lower part of the inner side surface of the refrigerator. With such an arrangement as above, it is possible to deodorize without reducing a space in the storing chamber 17 and without influencing against a humidity in the storing chamber 17. |
