PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate operation for switching a photographing mode in accordance with the attachment/detachment of an externally mounted stroboscope. SOLUTION: This camera incorporates a Hall IC 40 detecting the magnetic field of a magnet provided in the externally mounted stroboscopic unit by attaching the stroboscopic unit to the camera. The IC 40 incorporates a Hall sensor and a comparator and performs switching action according to whether the magnitude of the magnetic field is larger or smaller than a specified value. By turning on the IC 40, an external stroboscope attaching signal inputted in a control part 27 is switched from a high level to a low level. The control part 27 switches the photographing mode to an externally mounted stroboscope mode interlocked with switching the level of the signal. |
