PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cope with compression algorithm not coped with by the data compression mechanism of a data recorder. SOLUTION: An OS sets the mode of data compression or restoration and the algorithm of the data compression/restoration to a data conversion processing setting means 5 by a command from an application program. Based on the setting, a data conversion processing means 6 is activated from the OS, restores data inputted to an input/output buffer area 72 from the data recorders 9-11 and delivers them to an input/output data area 71 and also, compresses the data of the input/output data area 71, delivers them to the input/output butter area 72 and makes them be outputted to the data recorders 9-11 by a data recorder controller 8. Thus, even when the data which can not be processed by the data compression mechanism of the data recorder are recorded, the data can be compressed/restored. |
