PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device having a stable developing characteristic by securing a gap in a developing region constant while reducing the number of components in a one-component developing device. SOLUTION: This device is the developing device for carrying a one-component developer G up to the developing region by a developer carrier 2 facing a latent image carrier 1, to actualize an electrostatic latent image on the image carrier 1 and provided with a movable supporting means 3 for making the movement of the developer carrier 2 to the side of the latent image carrier 1 free, a gap adjusting means 4 for keeping the gap between the latent image carrier 1 and the developer carrier 2 constant and a member used in common with pressing 5 for which at least one of functional members which are arranged in contact with the developer carrier 2 and fulfill required functions during a developing operation is used and which presses the developer carrier 2 on the side of the latent image carrier 1. Moreover, the movable supporting means 3 freely rotatably supports the developer carrier 2 through a bearing hole of an oblong- hole. Further, for the member used in common with pressing 5, at least one of a developer layer thickness regulating member and a developer peeling member is used or an electrode member can be used as well. |
