PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a mangangse dioxide which can prevent the remaining of impurity ions inside and whose strong load discharge characteristic is enhanced in a simple process by pulverizing an electrolytic manganese dioxide(EMD), and performing steam high pressure heating cleaning at a prescribed temperature in a pressure vessel. SOLUTION: An EMD electrolytically synthesized from a manganese sulfate solution is separated from a positive electrode, and is pulverized, and when steam high pressure heating cleaning is performed at 100 to 200 deg.C in a pressure vessel, a neutralizing process necessary in the case of a chemically synthesized manganese dioxide is obviated. Therefore, a sodium ion and an ammonium ion used as a neutralizer can be prevented from remaining as impurity, and a manganese dioxide whose strong load discharge characteristic is enhanced can be manufactured in a neutralization unnecessary-simplified process. |
