PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective circuit for a secondary battery in which a secondary battery can be protected against overcharging or overdischarging upon occurrence of spot isolation in a cell bank. SOLUTION: A microcontroller 10 detects, through a switch circuit 8 and a differential amplifier 9, a voltage difference indicative of fluctuation in the voltage between cell banks of a group of secondary batteries 1 where a plurality of cell banks B1-B3, each comprising a plurality of secondary batteries connected in parallel, are connected in series. A decision is made whether the voltage difference exceeds a predetermined level, and an FET 3 or FET 4 is interrupted when the predetermined level is exceeded thus interrupting current supply to the group of secondary batteries 1. |
