PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively perform data transfer between a control section and a section to be controlled and to simplify an interface circuit. SOLUTION: A control section 1 generates musical sound generation data from inputted key-on/key-off signal data, and at the same time, connects a parallel I/O section 2, and a key operation section 4 and a main sound source section 5 are connected to the section 2. The detection key-on/key-off signals of the section 4 are parallel type data and are supplied to the section 1 through the I/O port section 2. The parallel type melody sound data from the section 1 are supplied to the section 5 through the section 2. The section 1 connects an external accompaniment sound source section 10 and an external system 14 to the section 3. The parallel type accompaniment sound data from the section 1 are converted into serial type data by the section 3 and supplied to the section 10. The serial type data from the system 14 are converted into parallel type data and supplied to the section 1. |
