PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To settle the account of many customers even after a service interruption of a main power source by reducing the power consumption of a printer compared with that at the time of not interruption so as to extend a power source back up time by means of an auxiliary power source when the main power source is interrupted. SOLUTION: When a commercial AD power source is not interrupted, a power source part 30 supplies each part with a DC power generated by an AC power from this commercial AD power source and when the power source is interrupted, the part 30 supplies each part with a DC power generated by the discharge of a battery 40 being the auxiliary power source to back up the power source to a control part 20 and each equipment part 11 to 15 until the voltage of the battery 40 drops to be less than a limiting level. Then, at the time of supplying driving power for this back up, merchandise printing data is not outputted to a receipt printer 13 among each equipment part 11 to 15 so as to reduce the power consumption of the receipt printer 13 to extend the power backing up time of the battery 40. Consequently, services to customers are improved. |
