摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a navigation system by which the burden of a judgment regarding a charging operation is reduced for the driver of an electric vehicle. SOLUTION: A system is provided with an own-vehicle-position detection means 10, with a road-data storage means 14 by which road data on the shape of a road to be run by an own vehicle and on the position of a charging service station are stored in advance, with a control means 12 by which the road data are read out from the road-data storage means 14 on the basis of own-vehicle- position information to be output form the own-vehicle-position detection means 10 and with a display means 16 by which road data to be output from the control means 12 is displayed externally. In addition, the control means 12 is provided with a runnable-distance computation part 18 which detects the residual capacity of the main battery, for an electric vehicle, of the own vehicle and which computes the runnable distance of the own vehicle on the basis of information on the residual capacity and with a runnable-range display control part 20 by which a runnable range is synthesized with the road data so as to be output to the display means on the basis of information on the runnable distance computed by the runnable-distance computation part.
