PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire which is excellent in abrasion resistance and low-temp. characteristics while retaining wet- and dry-grip properties and is produced by using materials with good handleabilities. SOLUTION: This pneumatic tire comprises a tread made from a rubber compsn., a carcass which is a reinforcing member, and a bead core which determines the inner size of the tire. The rubber compsn. is prepd. by compounding 100 pts.wt. polymer component contg. at least 50 pts.wt. conjugated diene/vinylarom. hydrocarbon copolymer, pref. a styrene/butadiene copolymer, having a vinylarom. hydrocarbon content of 35% or higher with 30-100 pts.wt. process oil, 5-50 pts.wt. crystalline trans-polybutadiene having a wt. average mol.wt. of 1×10<4> -10×10<4> and a trans content of 70% or higher, and 40-150 pts.wt. carbon black, the amt. of the process oil compounded being higher than 1/5 and lower than twice the amt. of the trans-polybutadiene compounded.
