The plates (2) are assembled together in a stack so as to form separate passages for the media being handled. The main face (3) via which plates are joined together is horizontal and runs in the peripheral direction, each upper plate (2a) resting on a horizontal step formed in the edge of the plate below (2b). The edges of all plates can be of the same shape, while a vertical force acting on the stack is transmitted only via the steps and the vertical plate edges. The steps can be cold-shaped, giving a sharp inner edge and a radiused outer one. |
