The proposed intake assembly for a multi-cylinder internal combustion engine comprises an intake manifold and several suction pipes. The intake assembly is provided with an element for altering the suction pipe length or connecting other suction pipes. This element is essentially a cylindrical rotating element made from adjacent separate components (45-48) capable of moving relative to one another.
