PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily make it a polarization independent type and to reduce a cost without precisely adjusting a variable wavelength filter. SOLUTION: This module is constituted so that one side polarization Lp of incident light L1 separated by an inlet polarizing beam splitter 10 transmits through a variable wavelength filter 1 obliquely arranged by 45 deg. after transmitting through aλ/2 wavelength plate 12, and the other side S polarization Ls transmits through a secondλ/2 wavelength plate 13 after transmitting through the same position as the transmission position of the variable wavelength filter 1, and the P and S polarizations Lp, Ls are provided with the same optical path length, and are multiplexed by an outlet polarizing beam splitter 11. Thus, outgoing light L2 with a transmission spectrum of a single peak coincident with both polarizations Lp, Ls with each other is obtained.
