PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently conduct document retrieval processing. SOLUTION: An input part 1 inputs a retrieval character string. An appearance frequency information part 2 holds the information on the frequency that a certain character appears in a document. A minimum frequency character decision part 3 refers to the information held in the appearance frequency information part and selects a character having smallest appearance frequency from the inputted retrieval input character string. A retrieval object character string storage part 4 stores a retrieval object character string to be a retrieval object. A character string collating processing part 5 collates the character having smallest appearance frequency with the retrieval object character string and collates the whole of the retrieval input character string with the retrieval object character string from the character location in the matched retrieval object character string at the collation. An output part 6 outputs the collated result. |
