PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid bearing whose impact resistance is enhanced. SOLUTION: A fluid bearing into which a shaft 3 is incorporated contains a rotatable bushing into which the shaft 3 and thrust plates 4 existing on the shaft 3 in both end parts of the bushing 7 are incorporated. The bushing 7 is put in a cylindrical sleeve. A clearance space containing a lubricant is formed between the shaft, the bushing, the sleeve and the thrust plates. One or more internal spiral passages are formed between the bushing and the sleeve, and lead to shaft end parts adjacent to the thrust plates. An internal radial chamber between the bushing and the sleeve leads to the spiral passage by passing through a radial port to provide the lubricant between a journal bearing, the shaft and the thrust plates.
