The object of the invention is a music playing system comprising a number of music playing units (4) with a reproduction changing device, coding unit and ISDN card in which the music playing units have a number of playable pieces of music. There is at least one input by means of which the pieces of music to be played on a playing unit (4) are selected. In addition, there is a central computer (10) with a store in at least one playing unit, whereby at least one playing unit having a store and the data of the pieces of music available in the playing units (4) being stored in the store of the central computer (10). The playing units (4) can be connected between themselves and to the central computer (10) via remote data transmission lines.
