PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device preventing the reduction of the transfer/ separation efficiency, preventing a paper feed miss in paper feed conveyance and wrinkles and nonfixation in a fixing device, and allowing good copying over a long period. SOLUTION: This image forming device is provided with an image formation section having a contact electrifying device 11 electrifying an image carrier 10, a display section displaying the image forming action and image forming state, and a detecting device 12 arranged at the position facing the image carrier 10 on the surface of a contact electrifying member. The detecting device 12 is constituted of multiple light emission sections having different emission wavelengths and light reception sections having different reception sensitivity regions. Light is emitted from the light emission sections in turn, the data of the reflected light from the contact electrifying member are received by the light reception sections, the moisture quantity is judged from the compared result of different received outputs, a voltage applying means to the contact electrifying means is controlled, and the copying control conditions affected by the moisture content of the copying paper are changed based on the correlation between the moisture content of the contact electrifying member set in advance and the moisture content of the copying paper. |
