PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deterioration of fixing performance even in the case that ambient temperature is low and fixing is made on cold paper or in the case that power supply voltage applied to a heating element is low by providing a specified controlling means. SOLUTION: Temperature information is inputted to the analog port of a CPU 201 from an input circuit 203 converting the information of the thermistor TH into a voltage signal. Next, a driving circuit 204 supplying AC power to the heating element 1 such as a halogen heater or the like is controlled by a heater control signal FSRD1 outputted by the CPU 201. Also, the driving circuit 205 supplying the AC power to the heating element 2 is similarly controlled by the heater control signal FSRD2 outputted by the CPU 201. Then, energizing time for the heating elements 1 and 2 per unit time is monitored, and when it is made in a maximum energizing state, it judges as in low temperature environment or in low power supply voltage environment, so that the passing interval of paper is widened or the passing speed of the paper is lowered. |
