Cast-coated paper for ink jet recording and production method thereof

Provided is a cast-coated paper suitable for ink jet recording and a production method thereof, with the cast-coated paper having an irreversible shrinkage factor in the crossing direction within the range of 0.00 % to 0.20 % when it is put in an environment where the relative humidity is changed from 35 % to 95 % and further changed to 35 %. The present invention facilitates high printing quality and gloss in recorded images and assists in reducing curling and rippling problems after printing.
