PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to efficiently arrange address information on an optical recording medium having groove parts and intergroove parts on a substrate. SOLUTION: In the optical recording medium having the groove parts 84 and the intergroove parts 85 on the substrate, prepits 82 are arranged evenly on both sides of the center lines of the groove parts 84 and the intergroove parts 84 on the extension lines in the boundary parts between the groove parts 84 and the intergroove parts 85. These prepits are so arranged as not to exist simultaneously on both sides of the same places of the groove parts 84 and the intergroove parts 85. As a result, the address information is easily obtd. even at the time of narrow track recording, such as land/groove recording and track offsets are decreased. |
