PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate a hanging of an air conditioner from a ceiling in which an aesthetic appearance of an indoor area is not damaged wherever an indoor device may be installed in the ceiling and further it is not necessary to make a large hole or space at a rear side of the ceiling. SOLUTION: This hanging type air conditioner hung from a ceiling with a fixing fitting 3 and installed there is comprised of a collecting tank 15 for collecting drain water 22, a water discharging pump 16 for sucking up the drain water 22 collected in the collecting tank 15, a sensor means 17 for sensing a water level of the drain water 22 collected in the collecting tank 15, and a control circuit 19 for controlling the water discharging pump in response to the water level of the drain water detected by the sensor means 17. |
