PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably maintain a maximum capacity attitude of a swash plate in order to reduce vibration and noise in a variable displacement compressor with a swash plate element, whose tilt angle is variable, by shifting a connecting point of a hinge mechanism, which connects the swash plate element to a rotor, toward the compression- discharge side from the top dead center phase of the swash plate element. SOLUTION: In a variable displacement compressor, a bracket 15, which constitutes one side of a hinge mechanism, is projected from the front side of a swash plate 11, while a ball part 16 situated at the tip end of a guide pin 16, whose base end is fixed to the bracket 15, is inserted into a guide hole, which is formed in the tip end part of a supporting arm, which constitutes the other side of the hinge mechanism. In this case, both bracket 15 and guide pin 16 are placed, being shifted toward the advancing/rotating side than the top dead center phase (P) (the compression/discharge side (X) with respect to the tilted axis A-A) of the swash plate 11. On the contrary, an abutting face 11a at which the swash plate 11 is relatively met with a rotor, which regulates the maximum tilt angle of the swash plate, is placed (deviated) on a half-face part, or the expansion-suction side (Y) and is formed in such a manner that it is projected within a quadrant (Z) on the expansion-suction side (Y) including specially the dead point phase area (Q). |
