PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To trace branches without syntax analysis of a source program by providing a trace function for state analysis in an incorporated chip to perform sufficient debugging even by a high-speed MPU. SOLUTION: A debugging unit 20 which executes a part of the function of an incircuit emulator is provided in an incorporated chip 10 including the MPU in a target device. Thus, a buffer or the like is unnecessary, and the data speed is increased. The trace function is provided with the full PC trace mode where all address values are outputted and the branch PC trace mode where the address value is outputted at the time of execution of an absolute branch instruction or a conditional branch instruction whether the condition is satisfied or not. Since the branch PC trace mode is especially provided, branch tracing is performed without syntax analysis of the source program to perform sufficient debugging even if a high-speed MPU is the target. |
