PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the driving characteristics at shifting by setting a target value by a target inertia torque setting means, determining the final target value while the set target value is limited within the upper limitation set by an upper limit setting value, and controlling the shift speed with the inertial torque generated at shifting to the final target value. SOLUTION: A target value of inertia torque generated at shifting is set according to the driving conditions by a target inertia torque setting means. An upper limit setting means sets the upper limit for the taget value in such a way that it is related to the rotating speed of the driven side rotary member. From the set target value, the final target value is determined using a target value limiting means whereby the upper limit set by the upper limit setting means is confined within the specified extent. A shiftspeed control means controls the shift speed with the inertia torque generated at shifting so that the final target value is obtained. This improves the driving characteristics at the time of shifting to enable suppression of the requisite capacity of an oil pump. |
