PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a heat exchanger having a plate sandwiching structure including high pressure resistance, small volume and satisfactory heat exchange capacity with relatively low cost. SOLUTION: A sandwiching structure 1 has two or more channel coating plates 2, and a channel plate unit disposed therebetween. The plate unit has channel through holes 8, 9, and one or more channel plates 3, 4 stacked vertically. One or more channels 10, 11 are formed of the channel through holes in the plates or superposed suitably of the plates brought into contact with each other. These channels are substantially extended in parallel with respect to the plate surface between an inlet part 12 and an outlet part 13.
