PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily detect a specified color picture-converting picture data of a picture to be processed so that the specified color becomes a coordinate axis in a color difference space. SOLUTION: When an operator selects an HSI mode in a picture processor 4, it detects the judgment center of the specified color corresponding to a hue, lightness and saturation, and sets a threshold for specified color detection with the respective judgment centers as the center. When the operator selects either a first or second color difference mode, the picture processor 4 executes an arithmetic processing and transforms the coordinate of an object color so that a straight line connecting the coordinate of the objective color and an original point in the color difference space becomes the horizontal coordinate axis (x) of the two-dimensional orthogonal coordinate space. A rectangular area is set in the color difference space which is coordinate-transformed so that the straight line connecting the coordinate of the objective color in the color difference space to the original point becomes the horizontal coordinate axis (x) of the two-dimensional orthogonal coordinate space, and picture elements distributed in the area are detected and the specified color is detected. |
