<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently use a power source by allowing a control circuit to limit a current to a large capacity circuit system at the time of judging that the current consumption of a current consumption changing circuit system. SOLUTION: After turning on a power source switch to execute primary check by means of CPU 7 as the control circuit, charge is given to a capacitor for generating a flash light source 9. When a terminating power source 10 is supplied from a scanner at this time, a supplying power source is detected by a power source detection circuit 11 and a power source limiting circuit 12 is operated to determine a current capacity which can be consumed for charging from the capacity of the power source 10 and a capacity normally used by the other circuit systems. When CPU 7 judges from this decision that an interface 6 being the current consumption changing circuit system is large, CPU 7 limits the current to an illumination system control circuit 8 being the large capacity circuit system. Consequently, the power source 10 is efficiently used.</p> |
