PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate noise and to obtain an image having high quality by providing a charge injection support layer between the charge generation layer and charge transfer layer of a photoconductive layer. SOLUTION: The optical sensor is formed by laminating the charge generation layer 14', charge injection support layer 16, and charge transfer layer 14" in order on an electrode 15. The charge injection support layer 16 is provided between the charge generation layer 14' and charge transfer layer 14" and operates to accelerate the injection of charge carriers into the charge transfer layer 14" from the charge generation layer 14' and then accelerate the amplification of an optically induced current, to control the charge carrier injection from the charge generation layer 14' to the charge transfer layer 14" and adjust a voltage applied substantially to an information recording medium, and to level the charge carrier injection from the charge generation layer 14' to the charge transfer layer 14" and reduce information noise, unevenness, etc., recorded on the information recording medium, thereby contributing to the improvement of charge generation efficiency. In this case, the charge injection support layer 16 contains synthetic resin. |
