PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring instrument which can automatically adjust the offset of operational amplifiers without using any DC cutting filter. SOLUTION: The reference voltage values of operational amplifiers 551 and 561 are stored beforehand in the pulse wave data processing section 55 and body motion data processing section 56 of a portable plethysmograph and, at the time of determining the pulse frequency or pitch of a patient from the detected result of each sensor, the pulse wave data and body motion data of the patient are corrected so that the reference voltage values can become medium points.
