<p>The invention relates to the use of 2-cyclopentylidene-cyclopentanol as fragrance and flavour material. The compound has an indolic odour and is therefore very useful for replacing indole in perfumes and flavourings. Unlike indole it is stable to light and in alkaline media and gives no discolouration.</p> |
