The arrangement consists of an overhead rail track which forms an elongated closed loop and which is supported from A-frames (2,3). The A-frames are supported on wheels so that they can be moved sideways on tracks relative to the quay side. Several crane bogeys (7a to 7c) run along the closed loop track and carry lifting gear (6) which can be attached to the top of a container. The movements of the bogeys are electronically controlled from cabs (8,9).
