Infusions comprising a neuroprotectant and a thrombolytic agent as a combined preparation for simultaneous, separate or sequential use in the treatment of acute ischaemic stroke, and with the use of neuroprotectant for the preparation of a medicament for the treatment of acute ischaemic stroke and with the use of a neuroprotectant for the preparation of a medicament for preventing or delaying the process of infarction accompanying acute ischaemic stroke from being completed, thus enlarging the inclusion period during which the above combined preparation can be administered safely.
