An antenna (10) is constituted by arranging in line a first antenna element (1) which is a helical antenna and a second antenna element which is a whip antenna. The antenna (10) can be rotated around a rotating shaft (3). When the antenna (10) is vertical, either of the antenna elements is connected to a signal source (7) in its enclosure. For the connection, the antenna (10) is provided with a first contact terminal (5) for the first antenna element and a second contact terminal (6) for the second antenna element which contact terminals on the enclosure side. Matching circuits (4 and 9) which match the antenna elements (1 and 2) of half-wavelength is incorporated in the antenna (10). Therefore, the antenna (10) is small and the impedance adjustment of the antenna (10) is easy.
