A method for oxidation dyeing keratin fibres, particularly human keratin fibres such as hair, using a dye composition containing at least one oxidation dye and an oxidising composition containing at least one oxidising agent, wherein said dye composition and/or said oxidising composition include at least one ceramide-type compound, is disclosed. A dye composition containing at least one oxidation dye and at least one ceramide-type compound and being used in said method is also disclosed.
