<p>A method for enhancing wound repair comprises administration of a therapeutic dose of hemoglobin in an amount from about 50 to 2500 mg/kg of body weight. Such hemoglobin administration partially reverses the eschemia resulting from acute blood loss, and accelerates the healing process at remote times greater than one week post-trauma.</p> |
