The subject matter of the invention is a power feed box for supplying electrical power to busbars in an electrical distribution system, with several contact units (26) arranged in a housing (20) and made from an electrically conducting material. The contact unit (26) is provided, in order to allow electrical connection of a supply cable (54) to a free end of a corresponding busbar (4), with a cable recipient (36) and a first contact element. The contact unit (26) is provided with a second contact element to allow electrical connection of the supply cable (54) to a free end of a second busbar of the same phase and connected to the first busbar (4). The cable recipient (36) is thus electrically connected to the adjacent free ends of two identical-phase busbars (4). A power feed box for supplying electrical energy to busbars in an electrical distribution system and capable of being connected at virtually any point in the energy distribution system and subsequently moved to another point in the system is achieved by the co-operation between the first and second contact elements of the contact units (26) and first and second contact elements of the busbar (4) such that the power feed box (18) can be fitted over the busbars (4) at right angles to their longitudinal axes. |
