<p>A pharmaceutical composition comprising a prostaglandin having structure (I) and a compound chosen from the group consisting of TGF-β and IGF-1 wherein the prostaglandin, TGF-β and IGF-1 are present in an amount effective to stimulate the production of chondrocyte matrix or prevent the degeneration of chondrocyte matrix; and methods of stimulating the production, or preventing the degeneration, of chondrocyte matrix or cartilage matrix in a subject in need thereof by administration of a combination of the prostaglandin and TGF-β or a combination of the prostaglandin, TGF-β and IGF-1.</p> |
