INJECTION SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR RELEASING GAS OR VAPOR FROM A SOLID MATERIAL

An injection system for conductively heating a package containing a solid hydrogen peroxide complex which releases hydrogen peroxide vapor upon heating. The system has a housing with a gas permeable plate which is pressing on a first side of the package. An opening is provided in the housing through which the package can be inserted. The opening is reclosable. A surface is heated to 25.degree. to 250.degree.C. and is pressing on a second side of the package away from the first side. The surface and the plate form a space within the opening and the space is in connection with a vacuum.
