Stacking method for transport crates

The method involves arranging the transport crates (3) on a height adjustable level storage base (12) in series immediately behind one another and/or beside one another. A storage area is filled by several rows of storage crates arranged in parallel to each other. The transport crates which are held in a raised position can be lowered by at least the height of a crate and the released lowest position transport crates can be withdrawn as required.
