The tubular hollow body has metal layers deposited on its internal or external diameter, or on both, or between its inner and outer walls, in order to reduce the weight and volume for a specific component, or to increase its rigidity. The thickness of the diffusion barrier layer may be designed differently according to the product requirements. The adhesion of the material can be improved or increased by the additional use of magnetic impulse conversion, and the hollow body may deviate from a circular shape. The structure of the body may also be designed according to the product stresses, and may have different wall thicknesses, such as those which form the grooves and lands on a rifle barrel.
