Tube or ducting with sound attenuation used in e.g. gas turbine applications

A fluid tube or ducting has walls attenuating sound propagating from its interior. It is flexible, with external mass loading. Its inner fluid tight casing resists loading, chemicals and heat. Between this and the outer casing there is a similar flexible, heat resistant material inlay, with one or more complete windings between inlet and outlet. In this original tube (1), there is a main channel (H) with one or more auxiliary channels (N) distributed over its cross section. These have sound damping walls. The inner tubular casing (2) has mass-loading elements. Between casings there is a soft material inlay. The turns (W) run along in the main channel (H) or radially along the long axis.
