Optical fibre switching distributor

The distributor has a housing divided by a partition wall (13) into 2 reception chambers, closed by respective hinged covers (20.1,20.2). The rectangular housing base (10) has relatively shallow upstanding sidewalls (11), with the covers hinged to the opposing shorter sides of the base. The covers have deeper sidewalls encompassing the major part of the distributor depth, determined by the height of the partition wall and overlapping the base sidewalls in the closed position. The sidewalls of the base and cover perpendicular to the hinges have openings (16) fitted with plastics clamp profiles (17,25) acting as cable guides, with adjacent cable rails on the inside of the distributor.
