Microprocessor-controlled setting regulator for flow control valve in equipment and plant

The setting regulator detects a non-linear characteristic of the system containing the flow control valve (1) and converts it into a linear function, for controlling the valve to obtain the required flow cross-section. Pref. a non-linear mechanical oe electronic transmission element is inserted between the setting signal stage and the setting regulator (6) for the valve, which pref. has a microprocessor receiving measured pressure values from pressure sensors (7,8) on either side of the valve for calculating the operating characteristic.
