The first processor (2) possesses an A=D converter (6) to process analogue signals for "ground" function element (4). The processed raw data passes to the interface (8) and then to the output (10). The second processor (12) has been designed to carry out "higher" functions and is of a complex structure working with normal reliability. It is equipped with an element (14) for these higher functions and a module (16) allowing self-regulation according to the "watchdog" principle. It there is a fault, the switch (18) switches off the second processor and switches on the first processor.
