Oxadin(R) increases the phagocytosis of microphages and polymorphonuclears in vitro and in vivo inducing the production of hydrogen peroxide from the macrophages and demonstrates protective effect in experimental bacterial infections with Klebsiella pneumoniae and Salmonella typhimurium.
