<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the size of a device by removing the cylindrical surfaces of an upper and a lower cylinder part so that they do not contact a magnetic tape when the tape travels, and positioning the cylindrical surfaces outside the magnetic tape when the cassette is loaded. CONSTITUTION:The cylindrical surfaces of the upper cylinder 30 and lower cylinder 31 which are removed partially so that they do not contact the tape when the cassette 44 is loaded on the magnetic recording and reproducing device are positioned outside the magnetic tape 32. A rotating body 34 stops almost in level with the tape 22 by detecting the phase of its motor part and is fixed by a brake 45. Then, when the loading of the cassette 44 is detected by a detecting device which is not shown in a figure, a cylinder motor begins to rotate while the brake 45 fixes the rotating body 34 and a stator 40 rotates clockwise and is reduced in speed by a planetary gear 43; and the upper and lower cylinders 30 and 31 rotate counterclockwise and a fixation pin 47 is inserted into the hole 46 of the lower cylinder 31 and fixed. At this time, the cylindrical surfaces of the upper and lower cylinders 30 and 31 are fixed while entering an opening part in which a tape guide post for leading the tape 32 out of the cassette 44 is put.</p> |
