PURPOSE:To provide the title compsn. which has good water resistance, is not colored by aging or at the time of heating, and is improved in decomposability and ink receptivity at the time of thermal decomposition by consisting said compsn. of a polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) deriv. which is made pendant with styryl pyridine, styryl quinoline and styryl benzothiazole and carboxylic acid. CONSTITUTION:This compsn. consists of the PVA deriv. having the constituting unit expressed by formula I and the carboxylic acid selected from hydrogy acetic acid, oxalic acid, lactic acid, malonic acid, tartaric acid, succinic acid and citric acid. In formula I, m denotes integer in the range of 1-6; n denotes 0 or 1; R denotes a hydrogen atom, halogen, alkyl group or alkoxy group of 1-6C; A denotes a residual nitrogenous heterocyclic group selected from pyri dine, quinoline and benzothiazole. The compsn. which can be developed by an aq. developing soln., has the good water resistance, is not colored by aging or at the time of heating, has the good not generate corrosive gases at the time of heating and improves the ink receptivity is thereby obtd. |
