Portable impulse welding tongs for joining thicknesses of heat weldable flexible synthetic films consists of two (4.5) opposed arms, hinged together at an intermediate point along their length, about a transverse axis (6). The front of the arms (4,5) support two, electrical resistance heated, welding jaws (7,8) and the rear parts form the handles (9,10) of the tongs. A spring (11) is fitted between the arms acting to force the welding jaws together. |
